    Editorial Corrections

A wrong figure, a stale program rule, a broken source link. Send the article link and what is wrong.

    Where to send what

We have no phone line and no contact form. Email is the only way to reach us, which is also why there is nothing on this site asking for your phone number.

    Common questions

    Is The Wallet Wisdom free?

Yes. Every article and calculator is free, there is no subscription, and there is nothing to sign up for. The site is paid for by display advertising served through Google AdSense. We take no referral fees from lenders or financial-service providers, run no affiliate links, and publish no sponsored posts. The full disclosure is in our advertising disclosure.

    Who writes your articles?

A five-person editorial team of writers and editors. Each article is researched against primary sources, edited, and checked by a person before it goes up. We are not licensed financial advisers, and we say so wherever it matters. More about the team and how the work gets done is on the editorial team and editorial guidelines pages.

I found something wrong. What happens if I email you?

We acknowledge correction emails within two business days. Verifying the claim against the primary source usually takes a few days more; when a fix goes in, the article gets a dated correction note and we reply to tell you what changed. If we look and conclude the original was right, we tell you that too, with the source.

    Do you offer financial advice?

No. This is general information, not advice about your situation, and nothing you send us creates an advisory relationship. Our disclaimer explains the limits and lists places to get qualified help for free, including the CFPB, HUD-approved housing counselors, and IRS VITA sites.

    Can I republish your articles?

Link to anything you like, no permission needed. Quoting a short passage with attribution and a link back is fine too. Republishing a full article, syndicating, or using our material commercially needs written permission — ask at hello@thewalletwisdom.com and say where it will run.

Do you accept guest posts or paid links?

No. We do not publish guest posts, we do not sell links or mentions, and we do not accept payment for editorial coverage. Emails offering any of those are deleted unread, so please save us both the time.

Response times we hold ourselves to

Corrections: acknowledged within two business days, resolved or explained within five. Privacy requests: answered within 30 days, as the law requires, usually much sooner. Everything else: within five business days. We are a small team, not a call center, and we would rather publish a number we can hit.
